Coffee Talk is the library's daytime program series. Each session will feature a different guest speaker who will lecture or a lead a discussion in their area of expertise. Coffee and tea will be served at the start of each meeting. Space is limited. 

October's program: Explore the strange history of Halloween, from Old World harvest festivals to our modern family holiday with author, photographer and lecturer Kevin Woyce. With original photographs and vintage images, Kevin reveals the origins of the Jack o’Lantern and other seasonal traditions; tells the stories behind the 1938 “War of the Worlds” radio broadcast and the first monster movies; and takes audiences on an eerie tour of haunted lighthouses and hotels.
