March's Program: 2020 is the year of a historic centennial—the centennial of the victory in the fight for women’s suffrage! Drawing on her new book The Vote: Women’s Fierce Fight, Penny Colman tells the gripping story of the battle to enfranchise women replete with political intrigues and betrayals; pageantry and parades; pickets, violent mobs, and forced feedings. Her illustrated program includes landmarks to women’s suffrage based on her more than thirty years of road trips in search of women’s history.
