Snedens Landing and other Artist Salons of Rockland County: Their place in the birth of Modernism. A talk on the history of the early to mid-20th century artists of Rockland, their search for a new utopia, and a review of Rockland County‚Äôs remarkable place in art history with Mark Waller, owner of Gallery Moderne in Piermont. 

Mark Waller is a third generation antiques and art dealer; originally from London he has spent 16 years in Rockland County as co-proprietor of Gallery Moderne in Piermont. He has curated exhibitions of local historic interest at the Edward Hopper House and Rockefeller Park Preserve. He is the co-author of The Art of Rene Lalique, first published in 1988.
